Mike really was my mentor and my inspiration. He was larger than life but he was also very down to earth and a very good man at heart. He used to pop round and see my old Mum & Dad in West Norwood just to say hello and check they were OK after I had moved to Devon. There was no real reason for him to do that other than it was just Mike being Mike: a good man with a big heart. I have to tell you that both my parents and I really appreciated it. Dave
